I have a 6 year old son and a 4 year old daughter. I want them to some piano lessons while they are still very young since I have noticed that they like to play with the piano at home. I want them to grow and develop their talents. Can somebody give me ideas on piano lessons for kids?

My kids are 6 and 4. I’m not sure about the 4 year old unless I can find a Suzuki teacher (I found one that is about 1 hour away!–too far!). I know there has got to be someone teaching out of their home that lives super close to us, but wouldn’t necessarily advertise in the phone book (I actually checked & found nothing!)

I just passed my 8th grade AMEB piano exam with a B+ and am currently preparing for my AMusA diploma which I plan to take next year. I’m 14 but I really want a way to earn some money. Do you think I’m qualified enough to teach little kids piano, like maybe 5-8 year olds? Not to do piano grades or anything, just kids that want to learn for fun. Also what’s a good way to find kids to teach, because I’m only 14 and not many people would let a 14 year old teach their kid piano, so far the only kid who may want to learn is a 5 year old who is my mum’s friends daughter, but I don’t think she has a piano yet or she might want to go to a proper teacher.

ive been praying to God.. then I was surprised to receive a message from an old acquaintance.. just saying hi asking how things are etc.. then we talked online and he told me about his foundation for street kids and he has a music program and asked me to help him teach the street kids cause i know the piano.. he offered to drive me from and back home.. and he asked for my number and stuff..

im scared.. should i go for it?

there was this kid who is now like 8 and he has been playing the piano since he was like 2 he can also memorize sheets of music by looking at them

I’ve been taking lessons myself since I was about 6, and am really good at it. My piano teacher said I could start teaching other kids. There are people who want her to teach their kids, but she is already teaching too many and doesn’t have time, so she lets her advanced students who are high school age teach kids.
How much do you think I could make for a lesson a week, per kid?
By the way……I had no idea what section to put this in. Sorry. lol

Soon, I’ll be teaching a 4 year old the piano. I know she’s young, but she really wants to learn. So I figured I’d give it a shot, maybe start off with simple songs like Happy Birthday.
My question is this. Does anyone have any ideas on how to start with her? Like, song ideas.. scales.. how to teach her notes..
I don’t know if knows how to read, or knows the alphabet, so I don’t want to teach her how to read sheet music. Yet. Not until she’s older.
Has anyone ever taught a young kid how to play? I could use some help or ideas! lol

I want to start piano lessons for my 8 year old and was wondering if I should start him with a teacher who prepares them for the CM exams? What are the real advantages of CM exams? I found a very good teacher who does not do the CM exams but makes the kids do the recitals for National Guild twice a year.. If in future any child wants to be a pianiast then CM exams may be for them, but otherwise what are their advantages?
