i want to start at some point in life to take piano or cello lessons.Are kids in advantage because of age?can you point me some tests to see if my brain can develop this talent, if i have one?

Hey ppl! i need to know the best online acting a school for kids!!!! like a place for disney channel!!! here is what i can do, sing, dance,i play electric guitar, regular guitar, flute, piano, and i have been to a couple of acting classes! but please help me find the best online one!!!!!

I bought my daughter one of those little toy keyboards for Chrismas. It came with four songs to play along with using the numbers by the keys. I am looking for more songs she can learn on it. Is there a site that has more songs that she can play, not just kids songs but others as well?

I”m a girl, just turned 14, and I feel that life is totally and utterly unfair. I’m only 5 feet 5 inches and I can’t seem to get model thin legs no matter how many thigh exercises I do. Plus, some clothes don’t look good on me because my boobs are still not growing much (I’m almost flatchested).

My face doesn’t have any distinguished features. My nose is kind of flat, and my face is flattish (it’s ugly). I’m also getting a ton of zits. My hair’s horrible also. For some reason, it’s been getting very oily and I’m starting to get dandruff!!

This may sound like I’m superficial, but I’m not. I can’t sing, dance, act, or entertain people well.
I’m pretty smart and I get straight A’s, even though I don’t study much. The only thing I like about myself is that I’m phenomenal at piano. I’ve never had a piano teacher (just my mom, who taught me the keys and how to read music sheets)
and I’m almost a professional player
(like, I learned to play this song perfectly by myself last week in 3 hours

I’m also very shy when it comes to speaking to people who are older than me (even though I’m very outgoing towards my friends/kids my age

Anyways, I’m very depressed.
I’m not pretty like Megan Fox, Angelina Jolie, Miley Cyrus, etc.

**And I’m not talented like my all-time idol Hugh Jackman, who is the most talented actor, dancer, singer I’ve ever seen. Not to mention he’s got a very charming personality and he’s amazingly hot.

I took lessons when I was a kid, but I ditched most of them. I know how to read notes (that’s about it, actually) and have been able to learn a few songs on my own recently.

But I find that simply practicing sheets is starting to get boring for me. I like creating my own tunes.

I’d like to know if you have any good resources to learn how to match notes together to form chords and how to harmonize. I’d love to learn how and what notes and chords go with each other. Essentially, I’d love to learn how to improvise on piano.

I saw a friend at church who made a beautiful improvisation out of a hymn, which only had a melody consisting of single notes on the treble clef. I was amazed at how he could immediately form chords for both left and right hands from just a single note like F.

I would love to start making my own music and personalize songs I already know.

So, if you could offer me tips, lessons, or resources so I can learn (for free), I’d be much obliged. Thanks in advance!

Ok, so im trying to teach myself to play guitar, if you ask me its not working all that great.

ok so problem #1 i go online and pull off sheet music for guitar with the chords that im suppose to play. i took piano and there you would have to count like 1 2 3 4.. or 1 and 2 and 3 and 4 and..ect on guitar i play the chords but it sounds so blah couse i dont have the right rhythm or beat. PLEASE HELP. it seems like im not getting anywhere!

then there are chords i cant seem to play right wich is problem #2
the F chord i try to play but it sounds awefull!any tips on hot to do it right?

problem #3 the F#m chord. does the m mean miner or major?

and how in the blazes am i suppose to play the F#m chord??? im 13 so i dont have terrible big of hands but there are other kids out there playing that chord. its like put finger num.1 on strings 1,2,n 3 on fret 2 then on string 6 u have to put a finger then like on fret 4 i think u put a finger..

im getting directions on how to play chords off the internet.

ive looked on all kinds of websites for help but i cant seem to find anything thatll help and they always want me to sighn up for free guitar video lessons but i dont really want video lessons so i dont go on youtube unless im desperate. is there any website out there that is free and its not video, its on paper kinda like a book that explains itself. sorry if im asking to much but its worth a shot…so please dont answer unless u have a really good website to go to or if u can explain some of these questions… thanx.

problem #4 there are so many ways to play one certian chord. is there any one way its really suppose to b played and if not what is the most comman way to play a chord, any chord.?

Please give me answers!! i would really luv to get this guitar thing down pat! lol

I have been playing piano since I was 12. Mostly, I’ve taught myself. Now, in my 40s, I can sight-read many advanced piano pieces. My problem lies in that I can entertain IF I have my songbook. Music people assess me in this regard: gifted, plays by ear (if you can imagine someone who needs sheet music being described as an “ear” player), great hand positioning (perhaps developed because I have small hands), could have become a concert pianist IF he had the correct schooling, definitely not an accompanist, rather a soloist.

My learning disability focuses on the area of understanding chords and their various progressions. THIS IS LIKE MARTIAN TO ME! I’ve actually tried to take a couple of intro to piano classes in which such theory was taught. It’s in one ear and out the other. I just don’t get it! I honestly believe that I haven’t the capacity of grasping chord progressions. Is there some kind of “music theory for dummies” out there? As a math teacher (yeah, go figure!), I just read a book that simplifies math in a fun, easy-to-swallow, method for kids. I wonder if there’s such an animal out there for adults with a learning disability in music theory? I did try going to www.musictheory.net and, frankly, it was more of the “same old, same old” in terms of my clueless experiences with theory.

be able to play her favorite song for her and i am trying to get back into playing the piano a lot. i could find a lot more determination if i knew i would actually be able to play something other than what i already know instead of just sitting there and wishing i could. 10 points for best answer… not quite sure why i put that since thats just the rules but everyone seems to do it so im just trying to be part of the crowd. maybe i can be a yahoo answers cool kid. thanks for the help, guys.

Ok, so I took piano lessons for 6 weeks; enough to teach me how to read the music and what notes were what (I already knew the treble cleff, because I have been playing clarinet for 4 years. Anyway, I love bands like Chiodos, Alesana, Silverstein, Senses Fail, etc. I also like small acoustic bands like NeverShoutNever! and things along those lines. I ALSO like punk-pop like Forever the Sickest Kids, All Time Low, We The Kings and that sort of stuff. I know how to read tablature as well, so I was wondering if anyone had/knew where I could find easy/medium level music or tabs to play for a band like these. Thanks (Free is preferred)

i have nieces and nephews who have extra time so they need something they can(fallback) on .when they get older like playing piano .sumthin they can make some money off of.But they dont want to play piano .
