How long to learn jazz piano?

I want to take up jazz piano. I have been playing the guitar pretty seriously for 12 years and I am an OK jazz guitarist. I also played piano for 4-5 years when I was a kid and sporadically through the years, but never serious. How long would it take me to get the technical part down for jazz piano? My ear is OK as I transcribe jazz pianists all the time?

How do I self teach myself to play the piano?

I want to teach myself how to play piano, all I want to know is how do I read the notes? Like the A,B,E,F stuff and the notes that are like the little circles on six lines. I was just wondering if they’re the same as the guitar too. Because I play a little guitar and they taught me already. But I dont know which key is which so is there like a site that can tell me? Oh and I’m just a kid so Im gonna need something easy to read. And dont suggest to get a teacher because my parents are way too buzy to listen to me. Or is there like a learning sheet when I buy a keyboard or somthing?

Are there kids who play accoustic guitar, not electric?

Whenever i see teens they always want to learn to play electric guitar. Also, in schools accoustic guitar doesn’t seem to be a popular instrument cause bands don’t use it. So mostly kids learn Piano, Violin, Flutes, other wind instruments and drums.

Is there a reason kids don’t like to learn accoustic guitar and why schools also don’t incorporate the instrument into their music programs?

It seems as though kids don’t like to learn it cause it’s NOT COOL, that’s how they see it. They think it’s an instrument for the old, and plus MTV and all those things they watch never include it.
