My daughter is more advanced at violin than my son is at piano and they want to play a duet.

Should I keep my daughter in Piano Lessons?
My daughter who is 7 was attending a kids group after school. They have various activities throughout the week. On Tuesdays they have music. It’s taught from a lady who sings well and can play various instruments. Anyhow..after my daughter attended for a few months she recommended that I see about getting my daughter in Piano. I had considered this before because I feel she is gifted but then again most parents think their children are. So when she recommened I looked into it and got my daughter in lessons. She enrolled in August and all was well. Now almost 8 months later I’m having a harder time getting my daughter to practice her 15-20 min a day 7 days a week. So I asked her to give me 5 reasons she might not want to do piano. She came up with 2 one of them being that if she or the instructor drop a pencil the instr. may ask her to please pick it up. I don’t feel this is a valid reason and also don’t want to be thought as of a stage mom by pushing her to do it. I need some input from others. I told my daughter she should be thrilled she is gifted enough to do piano because many can’t read music or play. What do you think? PS. I didn’t know much about music but after I paid well over 100 dollars for 4 times a month 30 min. lessons and her books the instructor tells me after the first lesson for daughter to practice. I must have had a weird look on my face when she said this because she looked at me and said you do have a piano at home dont you? And I am like no…so I went and bought the next best thing a keyboard that has a few different piano options for now. I will definately look into the real deal once she is older and sticks with it. Any advice is appreciated. And even more so if you can relate. THANKS!

My seven year old came home from school today asking me if I could help her write the music notes (C D, etc.) on her keyboard for her. I tried to look it up but I could only find them for a piano. Her keyboard is just a kids keyboard with 22 keys.

Is there anyway I can do this for her? I have no idea what order they would go in. Actually I have no clue about any of it.
