yamaha or casio keyboard?
ok so i really want to learn to play piano/keyboard and i want to buy a cheap but very good one. im 14 so i dont want a little kid’s one and i am also i very quick learner and i dont want a keyboard that i will “grow out” of fast so i’ve seen the yamaha ypt-210 keyboard and i’ve also seen the casio 61-Key Portable Keyboard but i dont know which one is better. yamaha is obviously the better brand but this casio seems like basically the same thing only like $20 cheaper
so what im asking is which one do you prefer and what are your experiences with either of these?
if you know of another keyboard that is just as good but roughly the same price please tell me too.
*thanks*

Free piano lessons online?
Our kids 8 and 6yo were given a cheap casio keyboard. They started(as all kids do) just mashing keys and changing to different instrumental sounds and mashing some more.
Recently our 8yo decided she wants to learn to play some music. We downloaded some free lessons from http://www.learnpianoonline.com and with my limited musical knowledge have helped them both through the lessons.
They both are taken in by the ease of learning from this site and their enthusiasm is rubbing off on me.
Has anyone paid for the remaining lessons from this site, and if so are they as good as the first 3 free lessons. Obviously a face to face teacher is best, but thats not viable at the moment. Any comments on this sites information is welcomed.
Which is better for a beginner digital piano, Casio or Yamaha?
I’m gonna be buying a first piano as I’m learning on a cheap kids keyboard at the moment. I was thinking of either the Casio CDP-200 or Yamaha P85, my budget is limited to around $1000 AUD. I won’t be playing any classical music, not soon anyway. Which is more suitable, Casios or Yamahas for beginners?
Thanks
Sadly, shops around here sell these pianos for ~$1000, I think you can’t really get any better for this price where I live. A real piano here would cost a fortune.
Also, portability isn’t a factor as I won’t be moving it.
I teach 5 kids piano and none own a piano or digital keyboard only little 48 key casio?
I want to send a litter out explaining that I require them to have a piano or hammer action digital, but how is the best way to tell a parent their child is not going to be successful and progress slowed because of their equipment.. to where the parent will want to get their child a digital piano or other.. sadly my kdis with a piano do and are so much better than others.. any suggestions?
